Have you tried Julian Bakery’s bread yet?
I love it. And here is why…
1. It’s fresh.
2. It’s reasonably priced. I sometimes even buy the day old bread for $3/loaf which is a great option if you live or work in the area.
3. Lots of fiber from organic grains (not from additives).
4. Lots of protein per slice to keep you full for a long time.
5. You can find flaxseed in many of the breads which is high in omega-3′s and soluble fiber which reduces inflammation and lowers cholesterol.
6. The oats and grains in the breads contain tons of minerals and vitamins.
7. The smart carb bread makes it easy to count carbohydrates for those with diabetes or pre-diabetes.
If your kids are stuck on white, try their “Lite as White” loaf, which is soft, sweetened ever so slightly, and lite in color (like white bread).
I love their 12-Grain Sandwich Bread which is also slightly sweetened and packed full of grains and seeds. For just 88 calories per slice, you get 6 grams of protein and 8 grams of fiber! Holy cow!
They even have vegan options, sugar free options, yeast free options, and gluten free options. Some neat ones that I can’t wait to try are the Tofu Bread, Southwestern Cornbread, and Bean Bread.
The Julian Bakery is located in La Jolla (Bird Rock), California. They also sell their breads at a variety of grocery stores and ship products ordered from their website.

Been gluetn free for about 23 years now. Learned how to make pretty good bread in a bread maker, but this is the best gluetn free bread I have ever had!
