  1. This didn’t last long!! As of September 24, 2011 Costco removed all Kirkland Red Grapefruit supplies from its stores. The only explanation I could get was “quality issues”. I suspect it was the terrible glue holding the plastic cover on the cup – it was so difficult to lift the film that the cup always spilled. Costco pulls this stunt A LOT – brings in a great new product and removes it two days later.

  2. Oh darn! Well, that particular product might not be there but the idea can still be put to use. If you want to use ‘ready-to-eat’ fruit, be sure it is packed in its own fruit juice or fruit juice without added sugar. I’ll keep an eye out for similar products at Costco. Thanks for the update!

  3. Plllllleeeasssee I am writing to comment on your product…I love it and they are very convenient, but each and every time I open these the juice splashes all over!!! It’s very annoying…you need to make the top better to remove and not spill all over…please let me know, because I do not want to stop purchasing…..

  4. I had the same issue with spilling and mess every time I opened one of these. One thing that works is to cut two perpendicular slits in the center of the plastic top and drink the juice with a straw. It works, even though it is minorly time consuming and kind of high maintenance.

  5. I had the same issue with spilling, but I’ve resolved it. I put the cup on a surface and tilt it slightly toward me while pulling the lid.

  6. I love the cups! The one I had today, the juice was cloudy and the grapefruit had white spots on it. The container didn’t seem damaged but I tossed it anyway. Was it safe to eat?

    1. Probably a good idea you tossed it. Cloudy juice and white spots usually mean that the food has gone bad.
